Wilkins Returns To The Bridge

Clarke left Stamford Bridge this week to join up with Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola at West Ham, leaving a sizeable void in Luiz Felipe Scolari's coaching staff.

And The Sun has revealed that Wilkins has reclaimed the post he was relieved of eight years ago when both he and then-manager Gianluca Vialli were sacked by the Blues.

Wilkins, who earned 84 England caps, rose to fame as a player with Chelsea in the 1970s, spending six years there before venturing off to Manchester United, Paris St. Germain, AC Milan and Rangers amid a long and respected career.

The 52-year-old's CV includes spells with Watford, Millwall and the England under-21s, as well as top jobs at Fulham and Queens Park Rangers.

Chelsea are expected to unveil Wilkins' appointment this afternoon.
